We're looking for a talented associate to join our highly regarded construction team based in our Cardiff office.
The Role
You’ll handle the full spectrum of construction disputes, delivering specialist advice to clients with a focus on practical, cost‑effective solutions. There’s also scope for non‑contentious and advisory work if that appeals. Alongside your caseload, you’ll contribute to business development through seminars, articles and client events.
What we’re looking for
Candidates should be able to provide an effective legal service to a variety of clients, with an emphasis on the provision of cost effective solutions. The role is primarily contentious though there may be opportunities to service non‑contentious work if that is of interest to you. You will be expected to be competent or, if coming from a commercial litigation background, motivated to develop your skills in:
- Specialist advice in all aspects of contentious building, construction and engineering work
- The resolution of problems in construction law and the promotion of initiatives to this end
- The ability to master complex regulations and procedures with careful attention to detail and to explain and provide advice to clients
- The ability and willingness to support other areas of the practice where relevant e.g. providing technical support to our professional indemnity team
- The ability to think laterally in order to consolidate and support a variety of disciplines
