We're looking for a talented Associate to join our Built Environment team in London, advising clients across investment, development, corporate occupier and high-end residential real estate matters.
The role
As an Associate, you'll sit within our Built Environment team, which forms part of the wider Real Estate department. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality legal advice to both UK-based and international clients across a diverse range of sectors, whilst contributing to the development of client relationships and the overall success of the department. Reporting directly to a Partner, this is a genuinely exciting opportunity to grow your career within a team that operates across the full spectrum of real estate work.
What you'll be doing
- Advising on real estate funds, private equity housing and portfolio management, including the full lifecycle of transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, sales, purchases and lettings across both commercial and residential assets, with a focus on significant UK investment.
- Acting for corporate occupiers — including overseas businesses expanding into the UK — and advising both commercial and residential developers on a range of development matters, spanning sectors such as technology, manufacturing, retail, hospitality and leisure.
- Handling premium residential transactions for a discerning client base, and working on matters with both a UK domestic and international dimension, reflecting the firm's breadth of client relationships.
A qualified solicitor with a strong foundation in real estate law and demonstrable breadth of experience across investment, occupier and/or development work — a genuine generalist background is key. Experience advising on commercial and/or residential property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and portfolio work, with a sound understanding of landlord and tenant matters and strong drafting and negotiation skills. An ambitious and motivated self-starter who is collaborative by nature, comfortable managing their own workload, taking ownership of matters and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
