A fast-scaling legal business is looking to appoint a Senior Litigation Solicitor to join its growing legal team in Manchester. This is a senior legal appointment for an experienced solicitor who wants more than a traditional private practice caseload.
You will join a commercially ambitious, high-growth environment where legal judgement, risk assessment, technical quality and operational discipline all matter. The role offers real responsibility, direct exposure to senior legal leadership and the opportunity to play an important part in how complex litigation work is assessed, managed and progressed.
This is a senior position for someone who wants scale, responsibility, commercial exposure, progression and genuine influence over how litigation work is delivered. You will be involved in reviewing legal issues, assessing case quality, advising on risk, supporting decision-making and helping maintain high standards across a growing legal operation.
This role will suit a solicitor who is calm under pressure, commercially aware, structured, accountable and confident enough to challenge risk where required. You will need strong drafting, case analysis and legal review skills, together with a clear understanding of SRA obligations and regulated legal practice.
More important is your ability to make sound legal decisions, manage complexity, maintain standards, assess risk and understand how litigation quality affects client outcomes, risk exposure and financial performance.
You will be a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a current practising certificate. You will ideally have:
- 5+ years PQE
- Strong litigation experience
- Excellent drafting, analysis and legal review skills
- Sound judgement and the confidence to make clear legal decisions
- A strong understanding of SRA obligations and professional standards
- The ability to work in a fast-moving, high-growth legal environment
- Commercial awareness and the confidence to assess risk properly
- A structured, accountable and detail-focused approach
