Create inspiring workplaces. Develop your expertise. See your designs come to life.

Your next move should offer more than another set of drawings. It should give you interesting projects, experienced colleagues to learn from and the opportunity to see your ideas develop into completed spaces.

This opportunity brings all three together.

Browne Fairchild is recruiting for an established British workplace interiors business with a proud heritage, national reach and a genuinely collaborative design environment.

Based at its Clerkenwell headquarters, you'll report directly to the Design Director, working alongside an experienced team on a diverse range of commercial workplace projects.

The business combines workplace consultancy, furniture and fit-out expertise. You'll have access to extensive product knowledge, technical support and colleagues who understand how to turn creative concepts into practical, beautifully finished interiors.

And then there's Clerkenwell.

At the heart of London's design community, surrounded by showrooms, suppliers and material inspiration, it's an ideal setting for a designer who enjoys exploring new products, discovering finishes and keeping up with developments across the industry.

A role where your creativity makes a difference.

You'll contribute to workplace projects ranging from furniture layouts and space planning to office refurbishments and more extensive fit-outs.

Working closely with the Design Director and wider project team, you'll help develop creative, functional and commercially considered solutions for clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing space plans, layouts and interior design concepts.
  • Producing accurate technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Creating mood boards, finishes palettes and furniture specifications.
  • Supporting client presentations and contributing design recommendations.
  • Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and internal project teams.
  • Attending site surveys and project meetings where required.
  • Supporting projects through design development and delivery.

What we're looking for

You'll already have practical experience in commercial office interiors, workplace design or a closely related environment, along with a portfolio demonstrating your creativity and technical ability.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Experience designing commercial workplaces, office interiors or furniture-led environments.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • An understanding of space planning, materials, finishes and furniture specification.
  • The ability to translate a client brief into practical, attractive design solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and an interest in continuing to develop your skills.

You don't need to have led large projects independently. What matters is your design ability, technical competence, enthusiasm and willingness to contribute within an experienced team.

If you're an Mid-Weight Interior Designer looking for varied workplace projects, a supportive team and the opportunity to develop your career within an established business, we'd welcome your application.
