Are you a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? We are seeking a motivated and driven professional to support the delivery of works across our Southern Water Repair & Maintenance Framework. This is a pivotal role that acts as the link between operational and commercial teams, helping to deliver sewer rehabilitation, civils, and reactive and planned maintenance projects. You'll play a key role in contract administration, commercial management, change control, subcontractor engagement, valuations, and final accounts, while building strong relationships with client representatives and supply chain partners. Working within an NEC3/NEC4 environment, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of framework objectives, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
About CBUL: Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England. We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works. Our capability is underpinned by a substantial fleet of specialist vehicles including vacuum tankers, jetting units and CCTV survey equipment, supported by advanced technology for rapid diagnostics and effective solutions. With a reputation for safety, reliability and technical expertise, Cappagh Browne plays a critical role in protecting communities and maintaining essential infrastructure.
What We're Looking For:
- 3-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role
- Practical knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
- Experience managing valuations, variations, compensation events, and final accounts
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with project data and reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, operational teams, and supply chain partners
- Experience within utilities, water, wastewater, or civil engineering sectors would be advantageous
- A degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline (desirable)
- Membership of RICS or CICES, or working towards professional accreditation (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
