We are looking for an experienced and proactive Store and Yard Supervisor to take ownership of our yard, plant, and stores operations supporting a fast-paced civils reactive contract. This role is key to ensuring materials, equipment, and plant are safely managed, fully compliant, and readily available to keep our operational teams working efficiently.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the yard, stores, and welfare facilities, maintaining high standards of safety, security, and organisation. From procurement and stock control through to reporting, audits, and supplier liaison, you'll play a vital role in resource control and operational readiness. You'll also help drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the yard, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
About CBULCappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England. We focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works. Our capability is underpinned by a substantial fleet of specialist vehicles including vacuum tankers, jetting units and CCTV survey equipment, supported by advanced technology for rapid diagnostics and effective solutions. With a reputation for safety, reliability and technical expertise, Cappagh Browne plays a critical role in protecting communities and maintaining essential infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar stores or yard supervisory role, managing indoor and outdoor storage environments
- Strong knowledge of stock control, procurement, and inventory management processes
- Confident user of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience with stores or ERP systems
- A proactive, reliable team player with the confidence to make decisions and take ownership
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and record keeping
- Telehandler certification (essential)
- Full UK driving licence
- HGV licence and digger/dumper tickets (desirable, yard use only)
