We're looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead electrical engineering assurance across our wastewater projects and operational sites. This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility, champions safety, and takes pride in delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.

As our Electrical Engineering Manager, you will provide technical leadership across our electrical activities, acting as both Senior Authorised Person (SAP) and NICEIC Qualified Supervisor (QS). You'll ensure our electrical installations meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and engineering quality. You'll be a key technical authority—driving safe systems of work, supporting site activities, guiding engineers and electricians, and ensuring our projects operate to industry and regulatory best practice.

What We're Looking For: We're seeking a confident and experienced electrical engineering professional who brings technical depth, leadership ability, and a proactive approach. You'll combine strong engineering competence with the ability to influence, support, and mentor others.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 5+ years' experience in the water or utilities sector
  • Strong background in electrical design assurance, inspection/testing, and commissioning
  • Demonstrable experience working at SAP level (LV systems)
  • Deep understanding of BS 7671, electrical safety rules, and industry best practice

Skills & Attributes:

  • Safety driven, with a meticulous and methodical approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, able to guide and influence teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage varied and concurrent priorities
  • Collaborative, supportive, and committed to continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • NVQ 3 Installing Electrotechnical Services 2356-31 & AM2
  • Recognised SAP status or experience operating at SAP level
  • NICEIC QS (or eligibility)
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
