Are you a skilled civil engineer with a passion for designing sustainable infrastructure? We are looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join our team and deliver innovative solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects. Working as a key member of our Design Team, you will take responsibility for coordinating, reviewing, and developing civil design packages, ensuring every solution meets project requirements, buildability expectations, and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will lead the civil design scope across multiple projects, managing external consultants, liaising directly with clients, and ensuring designs integrate smoothly with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines. From feasibility assessments and technical documentation to design risk reviews and supporting construction phases, you will help deliver efficient, safe, and cost-effective solutions throughout the entire project lifecycle. Please note that the role requires you to be in the office or on site at least 3 days a week.

Our teams bring deep technical knowledge and a collaborative approach to solving real-world challenges. We offer opportunities for people with a range of skills and backgrounds, from hands-on engineering to project support and technical delivery. Everyone plays a part in helping us deliver safe, smart, and sustainable solutions.

What We Are Looking For: We are seeking someone who brings technical depth, design leadership, and a collaborative mindset. You will thrive in a multidisciplinary environment and enjoy influencing the development of sustainable, practical, and innovative designs.

  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills, with experience overseeing external consultants and collaborating effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-focused, analytical, and proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities and the organisation to manage multiple design workstreams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years' civil design engineering experience, ideally within water or wastewater, including managing and reviewing external design consultants.
  • Proven ability to develop civil works packages (earthworks, foundations, structures, drainage) with an understanding of construction methods, buildability, and relevant engineering standards.
  • Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit) and understanding of BIM processes and collaborative design workflows.

If you are passionate about designing infrastructure that has real-world impact—and want to work in a team where your expertise helps deliver safe, sustainable, future-ready solutions—we would love to hear from you. Apply today and help us engineer a better tomorrow.
