An interesting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to manage day to day site operational delivery on a complex multi-faceted scheme based in Leeds. Although the successful individual would be engaged on a long-term freelance basis, this is a senior appointment and will have key input and leadership on day-to-day project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage elements of the project lifecycle from inception through to completion
- Develop and implement project plans, programmes, and resource strategies
- Monitor progress against programme cost, and quality targets, and amend if necessary
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive resolution
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client stakeholders
- Support, motivate, and develop project delivery teams
- Maintain strong commercial control and cost management
Your capabilities should include
- Have a proven track record in operational lead roles in new build construction with a good level of exposure to both build and civils disciplines on complex and challenging projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, planning, and delivery, therefore planning software experience would be preferred.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to manage competing priorities
- Commercially aware with effective cost and programme management skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Hold a good level of overall IT skills
