A new and interesting opportunity is available for a senior mechanical estimator from a building services background, to join a growing business based in the Leeds area. This established business is looking for an estimator to join their existing pre-construction / estimating team, where you’ll play a key role in developing robust cost plans, supporting informed decision-making, and ensuring projects are commercially sound and affordable.

This particular role will have a key focus on the energy services sector in terms of replacing existing plant for energy efficient and carbon neutral solutions across various sectors including health, education, leisure, and commercial. There will be a heavy mechanical leaning so those from a mechanical contractor background would be of particular interest however there may be some elements of electrical and construction to factor in also.

This is a great opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of energy services and construction projects, with real influence on outcomes from an early stage.

Qualifications
  • Have a proven track record as an Estimator within a Mechanical, MEP and/or Energy Services business.
  • Covering areas such as commercial refurbishment, energy efficiency projects, heat networks, and energy centres.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Experience working within an estimating or pre‑construction team, with high levels of client interface.
