An interesting opportunity is available for a civil engineering design engineer to join a growing multi-disciplinary design and project coordination business who operate across the civil and structural design disciplines. The role will be based from our South Leeds offices where we service a national and regional client base across a variety of project sectors, including rail, infrastructure, bridges, water and general civils projects.
Your primary responsibilities will be to take a lead on key aspects of design and manage principal projects, as well as having some input into the leadership of the design team.
Qualifications- Have a proven track record of operating in a structural design engineer role, either from a consultancy or contractor environment.
- Ability to carry drainage design and minor civils projects.
- Ability to develop detailed design and calculations via a range of computer software.
- Being able to think methodically and to manage projects.
- Ability to liaise with professionals and supervise and lead drawing office staff.
- Ability to work well within a team and within a highly pressurised environment.
- Ability to interpret client requirements and communicate these requirements to others.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Familiarity within the rail sector advantageous.
