This role provides clinical primary care performance by a physician specifically trained and skilled in comprehensive first contact and continuing care for persons with any undiagnosed sign, symptom, or health concern not limited by problem origin (biological, behavioral, or social), organ system, or diagnosis. The position works closely with the clinical team and is primarily responsible for managing direct patient care, implementing evidence-based medicine, and ensuring adherence to national and internal practice guidelines and policies. The physician also provides patient advocacy to achieve cost-effective care through coordination of health services, promotes effective communication, and plays a key role in driving clinical initiatives for BTHealth in collaboration with other health professionals.

- Providing direct and indirect patient care as part of the treatment regime, identifying actual or potential risks based on patient screening data.
- Collaborating with providers, ancillary personnel, community resources, and interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve patient needs.
- Leveraging the use of the Electronic Health Record (“EHR”) to manage and improve patient care, workflows, and clinical compliance.
- Advocating for patients to accomplish cost-effective care through coordination of health services.
- Promoting effective communication with patients and encouraging their role as a partner in health care.

- Minimum of 1–2 years clinical experience.
- Successfully completed residency in their specialty.
- Preferred: 3+ years professional experience working as a PCP.
- Significant experience working with an EHR, preferably Epic.
- Active and in good standing Medical Licensure in the state of California and Board Certified.
- Active and good standing NPI number.
- Active and good standing DEA number from US Drug Enforcement.
Base Salary $250,000 – $325,000/yr

Physical Requirements: Office Environment – roles involve a part to full-time schedule in an office environment. The activity level is sedentary, with most work performed at a desk. External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.
