This role is a high profile sales role within the on-trade sales function of B-F, driving mutually beneficial business partnerships with independent on-trade partners to deliver the strategic business priorities of the B-F signature brand portfolio. You will specialise within the On Trade arena and work with an enviable portfolio of B-F's signature brands. With support from the Signature Account Manager, the Senior Account Exec and the wider B-F Team you will craft and deliver bespoke sales and activation plans with influential on-trade venues. A proven track record of personal accomplishment within a luxury FMCG environment, strong sales and advocacy skills, and the ability to drive a premium portfolio with a long-term strategy are essential. This is a 12-month maternity cover role.
What You Can Expect – Business Partnering
- Develop and evolve first-class business relationships with all customers
- Regular trade visits and attendance at relevant customer meetings
- Develop and execute time-bound work plans for customer meetings including account visits planned in Salesforce
- Work with customers to agree and deliver Joint Business Plans
- Identify opportunities to expand our portfolio
- Build strong internal relationships across Brown-Forman's UK operation
- Collaborate with brand teams, category insights, finance and supply chain to deliver growth and development within defined venues
- Be a key On-Trade contact for the business at events and activities on territory
- Lead by example in line with Brown-Forman Corporate and Social Responsibility guidelines
Commercial & Strategic Planning
- Create robust Joint Business Plans with defined customers
- Demonstrate volume and value growth YoY in line with KPIs
- Negotiate and renew annual and seasonal commercial agreements with accounts
- Manage budget for your account base to exceed objectives
- Sign up new business that is a good fit for our Signature portfolio – focus on brand building
- Utilise data and collaborate with the On Trade Category & Trade Marketing teams to maximise opportunities
- Increase distribution, visibility, advocacy & activation for B-F's signature portfolio
- Regularly review portfolio of accounts to drive KPIs
- Utilise the CRM system fully and comply with all sales processes and tools
Operative Processes
- Gain listings of products and ensure brand availability according to our picture of success
- Maximise prominence of our brands at each venue
- Develop and execute experiences and/or brand activities that encourage trial and uptake
- Present products and advocacy plans to key customer personnel
- Ensure each customer receives appropriate brand and category education
- Execute, manage and evaluate incentive plans for staff and account owners
- Ensure pricing strategy is correctly implemented in each account
- Effective planning and control of the company's budget and resources
- Daily/weekly updates of account information in systems
- Monitor and report on activities and competition; comply with administrative activities of the channel
