This important account management position within Brown-Forman UK's On-Trade & Prestige team is crucial for driving our e-commerce performance. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing a robust e-commerce account management strategy to achieve significant commercial growth in volume, value, and visibility across our portfolio, while also cultivating long-term partnerships with key customers.
Reporting directly to the E-Commerce Business Manager, you'll collaborate extensively with internal teams (especially in grocery, customer-marketing, and brand) to define sales, distribution, and promotional goals, and to drive performance in the digital space. You'll also partner with category, supply chain, and finance teams, providing clear insights on e-commerce performance to UK leadership. You will be instrumental in identifying and driving specific initiatives to enhance our digital footprint, optimize product visibility, and execute impactful promotional campaigns across our UK portfolio.
Crucially, we're looking for someone with a sales track record, ideally with a good understanding and passion for the sector, and the ability to drive growth for a premium portfolio. This is a maternity cover contract (length: around 10 to 12 months).
What You Can Expect- Owning and driving the Ocado P&L.
- Developing new accounts, driving growth for the channel.
- Work closely with colleagues in Grocery to drive greater penetration in this sector.
- Identify growth opportunities and accelerate digital transformation.
- Lead annual JBP negotiations.
- Champion e-commerce internally and externally with key retail partners.
- Identify necessary training and resources for e-commerce success and provide specialist digital expertise to brand teams.
- Meet or exceed annual volume and SNS targets for all brands within the e-commerce customers.
- Maximize new business development opportunities and proactively adapt to market changes.
- Develop and communicate the annual customer commercial strategy, aligning it with overall UK goals and KPIs.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer marketing teams on annual promotional plans.
- Manage annual budgets closely with the Finance team and ensure product availability with Supply Chain.
- A minimum of 2 years account management experience, with a direct P&L, preferably in grocery or wholesale.
- Customer centric focus with an ability to build a network of contacts within the relevant customers.
- Sales experience, ability to understand customer needs and leverage data for growth.
- A good grasp of the UK trading environment in grocery, wholesale and specialists retail.
- Good understanding of UK e-commerce trends.
- Good business acumen and understanding of ROI (return on investment).
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent influencing skills with the ability to convey sales information clearly, concisely, and visually.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to identify issues and projects, plan and prioritise effectively, and manage multiple projects to completion by deadlines.
- Strong business acumen, judgment, and strategic capabilities.
- Superior communication skills (listening, presentations, written).
