This is a great opportunity for a finance analyst looking for growth and to develop their commercial acumen. You will be a key support to the On Trade team covering restaurants, bars, and independent retail accounts, in supporting the reporting and financial analysis in this channel, which will help you quickly develop your financial and commercial acumen.
Meaningful Work From Day One
In this role, you will be the business partner for the On Trade channel and lead the reporting function. You will play a key role in supporting decision making with your analysis. You will take part in monthly S&BP cycles to review and drive the performance of the channel.
What You Can Expect
- You will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager to establish effective and trusted business partnering with Brown-Forman UK's marketing and sales team including Key Account Managers and Brand Managers.
Commercial Business Partnering
- Act as a key support to the On-Trade team, providing reporting and analysis to assist in channel performance reviews.
- Support Key Account Managers and Brand Managers by preparing data for monthly customer business review meetings.
- Lead the financial discussions in monthly cycles regarding key metrics such as SNS/case for the channel.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Support the Senior Finance Manager in the preparation of main financial reports and forecasting cycles.
- Participate in monthly S&BP cycles to review and drive the performance of the channel.
- Assist in the month-end close process by analyzing variances in results and coordinating with the accounting department.
Commercial & Operational Controlling
- Support the sales and finance teams in building indirect accruals and related reporting for independent accounts.
- Assist in monitoring trade spend and A&P (Advertising & Promotion) effectiveness within the channel.
- Support the implementation of pricing and discount strategies.
Process, Reporting, & System Excellence
- Support the commercial and marketing teams through efficient reporting and partner with internal stakeholders on implementing automated solutions.
- Assist with the testing of new systems and the development of analytical tools to improve commercial efficiency.
- Ensure accuracy and quality orientation in all channel-specific reporting and documentation.
What You Bring to the Table
- College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a similar field is preferable but not a must.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Superior attention to detail with a focus on quality results.
- Being a self-starter and proactive.
- Ability to work independently, execute responsibilities with planning and organization in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
