Role Overview
The brand manager is responsible for driving profitable growth by building strategic plans for their portfolio and ensuring best-in-class execution, collaborating closely with key UK & global stakeholders. This role requires a strong ability to advocate for and champion the brands within the business. The working style for this role will be four days a week in our modern London office, with Fridays working from home.
What You Can Expect
- Value Creation: Development of long-term and annual brand plans seeking approval from local, regional, and global stakeholders. Managing and optimizing brand P&Ls, including strategy, investment, pricing, and promotions across channels and SKUs, while monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions. Managing and tracking A&P budgets with regular meetings with finance and budget owners.
- Strategic Relationships & Partnerships: Leading and championing the brand, shaping its direction and growth with support from the Head of Marketing. Partnering with the Assistant Brand Manager on projects and development plans. Developing strong relationships with internal teams, external agencies, and global stakeholders.
- Drive for Results: Bringing brand plans to life through communication strategies and activation plans with the UK cross-functional team. Collaborating with the BBI team to measure research data and identify insights for growth. Partnering with the Head of Marketing to drive the brand's communication agenda in the UK, adopting a test & learn approach. Ensuring UK needs are met through close cooperation with production and global teams.
What You Bring
- FMCG/Spirit background
- Experience in building brands within dynamic, fragmented categories
- Operational responsibility in ATL and BTL activities
- Experience managing earned media campaigns and working with PR agencies
- Strong commercial skills
- A passion for brands and the ability to act as an ambassador within the organization
- On-trade knowledge or experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, including influencing, listening, and presentation skills
