As a Bottling Operator, you will play a critical role in our production line. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Machine Operation: Set up, run, changeover and monitor automated bottling machinery, including washers, fillers, cappers, and labellers.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular visual inspections to ensure flawless bottle alignment, correct fill levels, and perfect label application.
  • Component Management: Safely load raw materials such as empty glass, corks, caps, cartons, and labels into the production line.
  • Line Clearance: Execute efficient product changeovers, safely clearing the line to prepare for different whisky expressions.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, hazard‑free workstation and strictly adhere to all site safety and PPE protocols.
  • Defect Reporting: Identify operational glitches or packaging flaws immediately and report them to the Team Leader to minimize downtime.
  • Accurate Logging: Complete basic production logs and quality check sheets to maintain traceability records.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or production environment (food and beverage experience is highly valued but not essential).
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent visual accuracy to spot packaging defects, misaligned labels, or incorrect fill levels quickly.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfort operating machinery, using digital control panels, and performing basic troubleshooting.
  • Safety First Mindset: Strong awareness of health and safety protocols, including correct PPE usage and manual handling techniques.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with line colleagues and clearly report issues to supervisors.
