Business Wales - Senior Marketing Executive

The Entrepreneurship and Start‑Up Service focuses on providing a wide range of advice to young people and start‑up businesses through a variety of means including digital, telephone and face‑to‑face support.
The Marketing & Engagement Executive promotes entrepreneurship across Wales through high quality content creation, social media activity, partner engagement, event support and data driven reporting.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager, delivery teams and wider ESU colleagues, the role ensures all marketing is current, impactful and aligned with service priorities.
In addition to core marketing responsibilities, the role contributes to wider Entrepreneurship & Start Up (ESU) activity by liaising regularly with Welsh Government, BW ESU management and key stakeholders. This includes supporting collaborative projects, contributing to the development of Entrepreneurship Engagement across Business Wales and the Big Ideas Wales campaign, and working with partners to build understanding of entrepreneurship and co‑produce activity that inspires young people and aspiring entrepreneurs across Wales.
Responsibilities
- Deliver marketing campaigns for Entrepreneurship & Start up, including Big Ideas Wales.
- Maintain brand consistency and manage Big Ideas Wales social media channels.
- Produce and publish high quality content (stories, video, photography).
- Plan and maintain content calendars.
- Support event delivery, including agency coordination, attendee communications and content production.
- Act as a point of contact for events, managing incoming enquiries and requests.
- Assist with event materials, merchandise and documentation.
- Attend events across Wales, sometimes outside normal hours.
- Produce insight led reports to inform future activity.
- Carry out trend, competitor and audience research.
Person Specification
- Proven work experience with good CPD activities to support development and knowledge in operational Marketing role.
- Content creation (high-quality photo/video/interviews).
- Event support & coordination.
- Understanding of entrepreneurship and business audiences.
