We are seeking passionate and experienced Hairdressing professionals to lead and inspire students on our dynamic Hairdressing course at the London College of Beauty Therapy. As an Associate Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and innovative teaching that combines practical skills with industry insight to help learners thrive. You'll plan and deliver engaging, relevant content, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure learners gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their careers. The London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT) is London's No.1 beauty college, founded in 1995 to provide specialist education in beauty, hair and makeup. We offer a route into the industry for hundreds of aspiring beauty professionals every year, and have trained thousands of graduates now working across the sector in spas, salons, hotels, cruise ships, TV and film, beauty retail and running their own businesses.
About you
- Experience: You’ll bring extensive industry experience in hairdressing. While previous teaching experience is desirable, it’s not essential and we welcome professionals looking to transition into education and share their expertise.
- Expertise: You will have up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the hairdressing sector, with a strong understanding of current industry standards and trends.
- Passion: You will be a confident and engaging communicator with excellent presentation skills and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching, mentoring, and inspiring others.
We actively support those new to teaching and offer guidance and development opportunities for anyone looking to start a career in education. Associate Lecturer roles can often lead to permanent Lecturer positions, making this an excellent first step into education.

Salary £37.58 an hour, inclusive of teaching, preparation and associated pedagogic work, on Levels 2, 3 and 4. Non-teaching duties across provisions, including course development work, are paid at £23.85 per hour inclusive.
