Fire Door Maintenance and Repairs Specialist

Fixed Term Contract for 1 year, with possibility of an extension.

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced fire door specialist to deliver a programme of regular inspections of fire doors across the site to ensure they are in good working condition and continue to comply with fire safety regulations. Working to the Head of Facilities, this will involve identifying and repairing any defects or issues with fire doors (including damage, wear and tear and any improper installation).

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of fire compliance requirements, be a good communicator and have strong attention to detail (for tasks such as accurately maintaining records). Previous experience is needed in fire safety inspections or a related field and in carrying out any remedial works needed. A recognised fire door inspection qualification is essential.

The Centre for Life is a 7-day week business. Whilst the role will primarily involve working weekdays, some flexibility to work weekends may be required.
