Reports To: Head of MI, Insight & Analysis
Job Purpose
The MI Analyst will play a key role in providing accurate, timely, and insightful information to both internal and external stakeholders, enabling informed business decision-making. The role will also be responsible for the production and delivery of routine reporting outputs, including data packs and pipeline analysis.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Deliver accurate and timely MI reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce routine reporting such as customer data packs, pipeline analysis, and other regular outputs.
- Ensure data is reliable, consistent, and presented in a clear and professional format.
- Support the continuous improvement of MI processes and reporting outputs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure MI needs are understood and met.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Reasonable foundation in mathematics and comfortable performing calculations.
- Excellent problem solver & organised with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the constraints in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Experience of successfully and routinely delivering to tight and shifting deadlines.
- Adaptable approach to work.
- Conscientious, committed, enthusiastic with a willingness to learn.
- Able to independently understand stakeholder requirements and appropriately prioritise workloads.
Desirable
- Experience reporting from the Acturis Broker System.
- Experience using Power BI or equivalent business intelligence/reporting software.
- Previous experience producing MI and presenting in a clear manner to stakeholders.
- Strong MS Excel Skills (nested ifs, arrays). Working knowledge of PowerPivot and PowerQuery.
- Experience in cleaning, enriching and marrying large non-composite data sets from various sources.
- Knowledge and experience using AI tools and plug-ins to enrich data is desirable.
