Reports to: European Retail Finance Director

Role Purpose

The Finance Director is responsible for ensuring robust financial control, regulatory compliance, and high-quality financial reporting across the business. The role has specific accountability for custodial treasury activities, client money oversight, statutory and government reporting, and management reporting to senior leadership and the Board. The Finance Director supports strategic decision‑making through forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partner to the Managing Director and Leadership team
  • Custodial Treasury
    • Oversee custodial treasury activities, aligning appropriate controls over cash management and investments with Group treasury
    • Approval of Investments submitted by the FBP
    • Build relationships with Banks and Investment Brokers
    • Review and approve interest calculations relating to tenancy deposits
    • Review money market and treasury reporting for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Regulatory, Statutory people development, coaching and engagement, motivation and functional objective setting
  • Analysis, judgement and decision‑making skills
  • Challenges the status quo; open to innovative ideas
  • Operates creatively at pace
  • Seeks solutions and routes through complex challenges, using critical and analytical thinking
