Commercial Account Executive Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne Package: Negotiable Salary + Bonus + Car Allowance We’re growing our team in Newcastle and looking to add a New Business focused Account Executive to our team to assist the management team with growing the business. With this role we’re open to considering both existing Account Executive’s and Account Handlers who are looking to step up into their first Exec role. You’ll also be assisted by the Account Handlers team to ensure we deliver the high-level experience our clients have come to expect from us over the years. The day to day: Proactively developing a pipeline of prospects to obtain new business. Advising clients on renewals, managing relationships with key stakeholders and delivering outstanding service to them. Working with clients to expand and develop their coverage to ensure they have the right cover. Liaising with the broking and support team to ensure all documentation is accurate. Actively negotiating with Underwriters as required to secure the best terms. Working in a compliant and timely manner on all cases. Ensuring Retention levels and income targets are achieved. What’s on offer: A negotiable basic salary + bonus and all the normal benefits (Pension, Death in Service etc.) The opportunity to work within a passionate team who care about their clients and have clear routes of progression We’ll also fully support your professional development (including funded qualifications) Your experience: Ideally you’ll have a solid grounding across the range of Commercial Insurance market You’ll be able to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels and should be used to using Word, Excel and wider broking platforms (Acturis in an ideal world) Your skill set should also include strong sales, negotiation, influencing and IT skills You should also be confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels particularly board level.
