About the Role
As a Regional Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth and building strong relationships with our distribution partners across your region. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales & Distribution, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering our underwriting strategy and supporting our ongoing expansion. If you’re confident working independently, influencing senior stakeholders, and energised by driving performance, this could be your perfect fit. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a panel of distribution partners.
- Achieve and exceed budgeted income and growth objectives for your broker panel.
- Develop strategic, multi-layered relationships across all allocated distribution partners.
- Understand business objectives & strategies for your accounts to align our proposition and deliver profitable growth.
- Ensure that you and your accounts have an excellent understanding of the Underwriting strategy & appetite.
- Maintain a deep understanding of underwriting strategy, appetite, and market conditions.
- Contribute to broker strategy and introduce solutions to support partner growth.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities for long-term growth.
- Support compliance, governance, and management teams as required.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.
- Use data and management information (MI) to track and report on financial performance.
- Understand, challenge and contribute towards delivering the broker strategy and plans.
- Introduce and promote solutions where appropriate to support this.
- Maintain knowledge of, and build strategies to meet changing market conditions, including emerging risk.
- Work at all times with the interests of Customers, Distributors and Underwriting teammates.
- Represent the company at industry events, lead external engagement, and provide insights that shape our strategy.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in broker relationship/account management within general insurance.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Commercially savvy, with a track record of delivering financial results.
- Highly motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in managing sales pipelines (Salesforce experience is a plus).
- Strategic thinker focused on delivery and outcomes.
