Job Objective: First Insurance, part of Brown & Brown UK, are looking to recruit a New Business Executive to join their corporate team. This role will be supporting the growth of the Company by proactively generating and converting new business opportunities, as well as providing an excellent customer experience and specialist advice in line with Company values, building and managing our prospect databases and undertaking accurate administrative tasks.
Role responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Providing advice, recommendations and quotations to prospective clients
- Lead generation including cold calling and information gathering
- Develop and maintain specialist understanding of allocated trade sectors including key client exposures and industry changes
- Self-generating new business leads and obtaining accurate information for our databases
- Administration; creating quotation documents, setting up client records, issuing documents to clients, checking proposal forms, diary management and so forth.
- Liaise with various insurers to get the best policy for the client meeting their demands and needs
- Ensure that the sales process is completed and compliant with regulatory framework
- Liaising with prospective clients/leads and closing the sale effectively
- Generate 40 quotes a month with a conversion rate of 1:3
- Assisting other members of the team with technical queries
- Assist and liaise with the accounts team on any account queries
- Adherence to learning and development in line with CII CPD requirements
Skills Required:
- Technical and commercial insurance knowledge
- Confident telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate clearly & confidently to clients and colleagues
- Organised and systematic approach to work
- High levels of attention to detail
- Tenacious with presenting strong sales techniques and skills
- Self-motivated to keep generating new business
- Motivated and driven to achieve team and individual targets
- Able to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external parties
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- The ability to work to own initiative
- Decision maker
- Knowledge and understanding of OpenGi management operating system
