We’re strengthening our Team at Brown & Brown by bringing in a Lloyds Broker Technician to support the growth of our business within the Fine Art, Jewelers Block & Specie Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing and experienced team in London by bringing your skills to the team and having the opportunity to develop and progress further into your career as a Lloyds Broker Technician.
The day to day:
- Policy, slip and certificate issuance in line with FCA and Lloyd’s regulatory bodies
- Bordereaux maintenance and aggregate monitoring
- Resolve Underwriter queries
- Utilize in-house, Lloyd’s systems, including Arena, Atlas, DCOM and Global
- Establish close links with clients, Insurers, loss adjusters, engineers and other relevant parties
- Organize workflow to assure that objectives are met
- Setting up risks and binding authorities in the Riskserve system, processing premiums
- Submissions to Xchanging / responding to queries in a timeframe
- Ensure the efficient day to day handling of the technical department’s business correspondence
- Maintenance of the more complex records within the technical department
- Process data and generate reports regarding results, earnings or conditions
- Performs other duties as required
About you:
- Minimum 5 years prior experience within the Lloyd’s market, and some knowledge of Fine Arts or Jewelers Block insurance, Specie or Marine Cargo
- Manage processes and activity in a professional and efficient manner
- Build relationships with colleagues
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- Prioritise workload in order to provide effective support
- Act with integrity at all times
- Act with due skill, care and diligence at all times
- Observe proper standards of market conduct
- Work in accordance with the values and corporate philosophy in operation throughout the company
- Must be computer literate, with experience of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
