Here at Brown & Brown, we are looking for a Wording Specialist to join our team in London. Working closely with the Underwriting Performance Team, you will be responsible for the technical content and writing of insurance documents for the Brown & Brown EU Programs (MGA) division. This role will be responsible for drafting and approving documents including policy wordings, certificates, IPIDs/summaries, proposal forms and underwriting guidelines. This role will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and will be a technical expert on insurance documentation within our division.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design, drafting, review, approval and production of insurance documentation
  • Draft and approve documentation for all products underwritten by BBEU Programs
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to underwriters and claims teams on all matters related to insurance wordings
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with internal standards, market practices and legal, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and manage a centralised document library
  • Develop and maintain clear, concise and customer-friendly policy wordings
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with underwriters, insurers and other stakeholders
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of market developments and legal and regulatory changes affecting policy wordings and documentation
  • Collaborate with product development teams to support new and enhanced product offerings
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in policy language and recommend improvements
