We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Account Handler / Broking Manager to join our professional and welcoming team in Newcastle Upon Tyne. We offer high quality, specialist products to Personal and Commercial clients throughout the UK. We have sustained one of the highest customer satisfaction and retention rates within the industry by focusing on the precise needs of our clients. You will be joining a busy, proactive team of brokers who specialise in Commercial Insurance. This is the perfect role for someone with previous experience in either a commercial/corporate broker or insurance company looking to develop their commercial insurance skills and their career. Working alongside like-minded and experienced insurance brokers this is a long‐term opportunity with a 'forever company' that will provide career progression and security.

Salary Negotiable plus benefits.

Day to day

  • Working alongside Account Executives to retain and generate new business, in line with or in excess of, company targets.
  • Obtaining new business/renewal terms, negotiating and closing with insurers; creating documents for new customers, along with any mid‐term adjustments and renewals information.
  • Ensuring all customer details are recorded accurately and entered into the system in a timely fashion.
  • Checking policy documents, covers, endorsements etc. to ensure they are correct and in line with the customer's needs.
  • Attending customer meetings and preparing meeting minutes.
  • Working on all aspects of account management and service delivery to customers, ensuring needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
  • Managing all day‐to‐day queries, renewals, amendments and mid‐term adjustments.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers, prospects, teams and insurers to provide best‐in‐class service and drive growth.
  • Sharing ideas to develop our proposition at a senior level and impact change across junior members of the team.
  • Mentoring less experienced colleagues to develop and achieve high standards.
  • Providing training sessions to junior team members in conjunction with the training team.
  • Maintaining day‐to‐day compliance procedures for FCA Regulation; maintaining a detailed understanding of changing market conditions and complying with all professional and transparency standards to better serve clients.
  • Handling incoming and outbound calls – new and existing customers.
