Position – Commercial Motor Claims Handler Location – Orpington, KentSalary – Negotiable plus benefits

Overview

We are currently looking for a Commercial Motor Claims Handler to join our professional and welcoming team in Orpington.

Our Orpington location offer high quality, specialist products to Personal and Commercial clients throughout the UK. We have sustained one of the highest customer satisfaction and retention rates within the industry by focusing on the precise needs of our clients.

The position of Commercial Motor Claims Handler is a key role and requires a professional approach. You will play an integral role within the business by ensuring that claims are dealt with promptly and efficiently from first notification through to settlement, while maintaining regular contact with our clients with updates.

Working alongside like minded and experienced insurance brokers this is a long term opportunity with a 'forever company' that will provide career progression and security.

Day to day

  • Incoming and outbound Claims call handling
  • Corresponding and communicating with clients and Insurers
  • Deal with claims from first notification to final settlement
  • Deal with any day to day claims queries and issues received through to resolution
  • Monitor and maintain up to date information within the claims register
  • Monitoring reserves and claims position
  • To ensure a comprehensive record is constantly updated on our systems
  • Liaise and work alongside the Claims Team to identify any potential problems or issues to include but not limited to referrals on major and complex claims, executive/director claims and any policy exposure
  • Maintaining day to day Compliance procedures for FCA Regulation
  • Maintaining a complete and comprehensive training record/log
  • Sharing ideas or suggestions for business improvement with Management
  • Effectively managing individual and team diary
  • Managing personal workflow effectively and efficiently
  • Be able to advise clients about Risk Management and how this will benefit them in respect of claims
  • Attending client meetings to review claims and discuss risk management
  • Analysing data to identify trends and assist customers with claims defensibility
