We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join our welcoming and professional team in Solihull at Thompson Insurance Brokers (part of Brown & Brown). In Solihull we have been looking after clients for over 35 years, providing outstanding service and advice. We have grown consistently and are now looking to add a Senior Account Handler to the team to ensure service levels are maintained to the highest levels.
You will be looking after clients' policy programmes from New Business quotations to Renewals and Mid-Term Adjustments, ensuring service, accuracy and a long-term relationship.
The day to day:
- Assisting clients on renewals, new business quotations, managing relationships with key stakeholders and delivering outstanding service to them.
- Proactively develop a pipeline of referrals from existing clients to obtain new business.
- Working with clients to expand and develop their coverage to ensure they have the right cover.
- Liaising with the senior brokers, account executives and management teams to ensure all documentation is accurate and within prescribed timescales.
- Actively negotiating with Underwriters as required to secure the best terms.
- Working in a compliant and timely manner on all cases.
- Ensuring retention levels and income targets are achieved.
- Working with the management team to achieve business objectives and support with the development of colleagues.

About you:
- Experience of Commercial and Corporate Insurance markets and be looking to take the next step in your career.
- Exposure to dealing with clients at all levels and product lines from £2,000 to £500,000.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels and should be used to using Word, Excel and wider broking platforms (Open GI / Acturis in an ideal world).
- Confident in dealing with stakeholders at all levels and have a wider skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, sales and IT skills.
