The Sales Analyst plays an important role in supporting the business development efforts of the Sales Managers through sales support and research activities of prospects and clients. Through continual hands-on training and support/direction from manager, the Sales Analyst is expected to proactively study the Investor Services industry and BBH sales, relationship management and operational processes. The Sales Analyst plays an important role in the research and presentation of BBH practices, data and trends to assist in the completion of Request for Proposal documents.This is an ideal role for someone looking to develop a career in Sales.
Sales and Relationship Management Support
- Assist with sales and relationship management efforts, preparing detailed proposals for Investor Services products and attending client meetings as appropriate
- Support in development of Sales plans by researching assets, analysing competitors and market insights.
- Provide Conference support including cross referencing attendees, researching previous attendees, identifying salesforce owners, coordinating with Sales Managers, collating feedback, issuing invitations to events and managing logistics.
- Oversight of pipeline (quality control), deal insertion and progression into SalesForce
- Support Deal Management governance consisting of assisting BBH bid internal approval process, attendance and progressing of governance meetings, coordination with product, operations and segment heads for meeting attendance, analysis of fund docs to extract current pricing and competitors and coordination with RFP team.
- Manage Marketing material support and coordination
- Produce SAS monthly report
- Review Sales process optimisation with BBH force group
Research and Analysis
- Identify, recommend and create new tools for defining prospects (for Sales RMs)
- Under supervision, create pro-forma profitability and revenue projections for new business bids for existing and new clients
- Conduct and present detailed market and specific company research, including detailed profiling of current clients’ businesses to identify current service providers, estimates of current fees, and product details for review by Sales Manager
- Remain knowledgeable of changing industry initiatives
- Various other ad hoc assignments, including financial modeling with direction from manager
Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
- BS/BA required
- 2 to 3 years investor servicing industry experience preferred
- 2 to 3 years of sales/marketing experience desired but not essential
Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
- Familiarity with Financial Institutions (banks, mutual fund managers, insurance companies etc)
- Core Investor Services product knowledge
- Communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills and excellent writing ability (writing sample required)
- Strict attention to detail with proven ability to see open issues through to resolution
- Ability to interact in a professional manner at all levels, both internally and externally to BBH
- Ability to juggle several duties and troubleshoot while maintaining an upbeat personality
- Ability to quickly learn new about new products/materials
- Strong client service skills for both external and internal purposes
