Business Development
- Direct responsibility for the development of business opportunities, responsible for delivering a revenue target as set by Head of Alternative Sales in Europe.
- Building a pipeline of qualified prospects, based on strong commercial insights on trends in the industry, regulatory changes and client investment strategy.
- Identifying and building strong relationships with all key decision makers in the prospect organization (C‑Level).
- Evaluate existing client relationships and identify new revenue streams through active communication and collaboration with the relationship manager.
- Promoting BBH products and services throughout the industry and position BBH for long-term opportunities.
- Represent BBH at regional industry events.
- Build and maintain an influencer network with a view to generate inbound referrals.
- Close collaboration with Consultant Relations team and wider BBH sales teams ensuring all interactions are logged.
Planning and Strategy
- Develop and maintain detailed sales plans and analysis for individual clients and prospects.
- Continuous update of sales opportunities, all client/prospect interactions and contacts within SalesForce.
- Monitor development and progress against sales plans for prospects.
- Monitor and track potential clients by developing an in-depth knowledge of their 1, 3, and 5-year business strategy, organizational changes and related activities.
- Actively track and communicate client and market intelligence back to appropriate BBH resources and colleagues.
Product Knowledge
- Develop in-depth product knowledge of BBH's core products and services for Alternative fund managers as well as across the broader BBH Investor Services business.
- Knowledge of core alternatives segments with a focus on private credit, private equity and real assets.
- A minimum of 3 years alternatives sector or related industry experience is required.
- 2 to 3 years of sales experience.
- Global Alternatives industry and fund servicing product knowledge; Cross product knowledge a plus.
- Communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills and excellent writing ability.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Professional business acumen; Ability to interact in a professional manner at all levels, both internally and externally to BBH.
- Quick learner, ability to juggle duties and troubleshoot while maintaining an upbeat personality.
- Successful recent track record of managing complex sales processes with new and/or existing clients.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment and other external market forces impacting the asset management industry.
- Consultative, strategic sales experience, approach and methodology.
