The Markets Currency Strategy team seeks to expand and deepen client relationships through currency research and insights.
The Markets Strategist provides insightful daily commentary, quarterly research, and ad hoc content for external and internal clients, informing trading strategies and helping clients navigate a global marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Analyze global macroeconomic developments, monetary policy trends, and geopolitical risks to assess their impact on currency markets.
- Generate views about market risks and opportunities to engage clients.
- Build and strengthen the macro research and strategy process and framework.
- Develop and maintain models to forecast exchange rates and monitor currency valuation.
- Conduct market and industry research to stay ahead of evolving currency dynamics.
- Commentary & Communication
- Deliver timely insights through daily, weekly, quarterly, and ad hoc currency strategy reports.
- Translate complex topics into clear, compelling insights for key audiences.
- Serve as a market-facing voice for Investor Services Markets Strategy; contribute to media appearances and platforms to share views on currency dynamics and macroeconomic trends.
- Coordinate publication of commentaries across platforms, including Bloomberg and BBH public sites.
- Support the global thought leadership strategy within currency research, including content ideas, creation, execution, and distribution aligned with BBH’s business strategy.
- Maintain a strong presence on Linked In and cultivate a professional network to broaden reach.
- Relationship Management
- Represent the RM team in the creation and delivery of currency research to BBH’s clients and prospects.
- Deepen relationships through direct client engagement and client-specific, curated market content and insights.
- Speak confidently at conferences and client events, presenting insights with clarity and impact.
- Support client growth and retention by aligning commentary with strategic priorities.
Qualifications
- Strong research and investment strategy formulation background with solid technical experience and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of international monetary systems and economic history.
- Ability to be creative with analytics to support ideas with data, frameworks, and visualizations.
- Experience with foreign exchange trading instruments.
