BBH is looking for an FX Sales Trader to join our team. Sales Trading is responsible for the management, retention, expansion, and strategic engagement of our Institutional FX client relationships. Candidates must demonstrate and possess a deep understanding of the foreign exchange market with an aptitude to assess risk and manage the day-to-day execution of client’s order flow. This role will contribute to the development of the sales trading strategy and play a key role in the implementation and execution of said strategy.
The candidate should possess strong on-desk FX Sales skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive the overall goals for the FX department. Day-to-day responsibilities include the creation of market commentary, trade execution, and strategic client engagement, both virtually and in person.
The individual in this role is expected to be a sought-after subject matter expert on all BBH FX products and services, possessing a deep understanding of their interconnectivity and individual value propositions. A general aptitude leveraging data visualizations, TCA, data and analytics to add value and differentiate one’s engagement is core to success in the role.
BBH’s London based FX desk provides sales coverage across the UK & mainland Europe. Candidates in this role should expect and be comfortable with frequent travel.
Core Responsibilities:- Manage sophisticated client relationships for BBH and proactively engage to fulfill their currency trading requirements and servicing needs.
- Build overall credibility and foster trust with clients and prepare/deliver client presentations and analytics to strengthen the client’s understanding of market changes, product developments and new opportunities.
- Manage cross product profitability of client relationships.
- Manage client executions, obtain price quotes and accept trade orders, on behalf of clients.
- Act as an SME and trusted advisor on BBH FX Products and Services.
- Thoughtfully assemble client facing teams for strategic client opportunities and engagement.
- Build a pipeline of qualified expansion opportunities for existing clients.
- Develop pricing expertise across BBH’s full continuum of products.
- Proactively utilise and produce data visualizations, analytics and TCA to identify trends and opportunities for client discussions and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain expertise with BBH products and services.
- Identify sales opportunities and support on-boarding efforts across all FX products.
- Collaborate across BBH business lines to promote and support cross-selling opportunities.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, trading and product to initiate development and evolution within BBH’s FX products.
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve existing workflows.
- Contribute to the advancement and expansion of our internal and external data and analytics tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline.
- Excellent relationship management and client service skills.
- Experience with international currency markets, including impact of economic and political factors.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, recommend & implement solutions.
- Fluency leveraging various data visualization tools and comfort presenting and interpreting a multitude of data and analytics.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; with an attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.
- Self-motivation, time management, and an ability to clearly interpret complex scenarios.
This role will require certification under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
