A new position is available for a CAD technician to join a growing design team based in the Leeds area, where you will be supported in your continued growth and development. The role will be to integrate into the existing team which operates within the civil engineering sector, covering structural, concrete and reinforcement detailing utilising both AutoCAD and Revit software packages. Your primary role would be to work closely with senior members of the team and support them in the production of digital drawings and their management thereafter.

Your key accountabilities would be:

  • Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and Design packages
  • CAD lead on design schemes
  • Maintain and manage design supporting information and documentation
  • Maintain and manage design scheme action matrix
  • Production of designers risk assessments
  • Assist Design Manager/Director to produce drawing packs
  • Assist Design Director with the production of various authority design submissions
  • Assist with management of design sub-contractors
  • Adhere to industry standards for design production
  • Attend and organise design review meetings
  • KPI and data collection
  • Mentoring of Junior Design Technicians

  • Hold a thorough understanding of AutoCAD and Revit.
