Solicitor β Litigation & Employment
Salary: Β£55,000 per annum
Minimum Experience: 5 years' Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)

Purpose of the Role
To undertake a mixed caseload of litigation and employment law matters. Applicants may specialise primarily in either litigation or employment law, provided they are willing to assist across the wider dispute resolution department as required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of litigation and/or employment matters.
Advise clients on disputes, claims, settlement and litigation strategy.
Draft pleadings, tribunal and court documents, witness statements and settlement agreements.
Conduct advocacy where appropriate.
Attend court hearings, tribunals, mediations and settlement meetings.
Ensure compliance with procedural rules, court directions and regulatory obligations.
Develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
Participate in networking, marketing and business development initiatives.
Supervise and mentor paralegals, trainee solicitors (where applicable), volunteers and work experience students as required.
Conduct and support file reviews and reports
Delegate work appropriately and oversee the quality and timely completion of delegated tasks.
Assist with the training and development of junior members of the team.
Meet agreed billing, file management and performance targets.
Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the Principal Solicitor.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE.
Strong experience in litigation, employment law or both.
Excellent advocacy, negotiation and drafting skills.
Ability to manage files independently.
Demonstrable ability to supervise and support junior staff, including paralegals, volunteers and work experience students.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Commercial awareness and commitment to excellent client care.
