About the role:
As a Metalwork Pre-Production / Design Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring our projects are completed on time and within budget. You will be responsible for producing detailed manufacturing drawings and providing technical resolution support for our metalwork department.
Your duties will include:
- Producing comprehensive production packs, including 2D/3D drawings, sketches, and cutting lists.
- Scheduling materials and drafting CNC components to ensure an unhindered manufacturing period.
- Identifying potential project challenges early and collaborating with the Metalwork Manager on solutions.
- Generating requisitions for the procurement of materials, components, and sundries.
- Interacting regularly with the workshop to provide practical input on fabrication methodology and needs.
- Updating metalwork project trackers with all relevant pre-production information.
- Attending internal project review meetings.
About you:
We are looking for a proactive professional with a strong technical background in metalwork. To be successful, you will need:
- Fluency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D (Essential).
- Practical knowledge of workshop processes, including welding, cutting, folding, and metal assembly.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship).
