Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid ā London

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Decus Direct Team. Decus Direct is a bespoke online platform designed for quoting, binding, and issuing formal documentation. It also delivers powerful analytics to support underwriting decisions, portfolio analysis, and product performance insights.
In this role, you\āll serve as the vital link between the business and our software development teamāensuring that every initiative is aligned with strategic goals and that business requirements are clearly understood, translated, and delivered.
The day to day:
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business to ensure open, transparent, and consistent communication.
Identify, investigate, and develop solutions to business challenges, driving improved outcomes for all stakeholders.
Elicit, analyze, and document user requirements with precision and clarity.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications for the Development Team.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility and alignment of solutions with system architecture.
Define acceptance criteria and ensure they are fully addressed through comprehensive testing.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm that the final product aligns with stakeholder expectations.
Actively participate in agile ceremonies.
Author and update internal and external documentation and facilitate workshops where required.
Assist in managing, refining, and prioritizing the product backlog to align with strategic goals.
Continuously review and enhance system processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Actively manage diverse stakeholder groups, including Cāsuite, brokers, and technical teams.
Support change management initiatives, including training, adoption, and communication strategies.
Demonstrate flexibility and proactively contribute to additional initiatives and projects as required.
About you:
Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in agile software teams.
Certified Business Analyst.
London Market insurance experience is essential.
Skilled in JavaScript, Microsoft Office, and business process modelling.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Clear communicator; bridges technical and nonātechnical teams.
Excellent problemāsolving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Selfāstarter who thrives in fastāpaced environments.
Experience with DevOps and cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
Detailāoriented with a strong focus on quality.
