Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant to join our project team delivering a multi-country SAP SuccessFactors EC and ECP implementation. The role involves end-to-end payroll solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements across multiple geographies (UK, Mexico, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania).

The consultant will work closely with functional and technical teams, client payroll SMEs, and integration partners to deliver a robust, standardised, and scalable payroll solution aligned to SAP best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support design workshops to gather payroll requirements and map them to SAP standard processes.
  • Configure SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) for multiple countries in line with project scope and statutory requirements.
  • Manage data replication and integrations between EC and ECP, and between ECP and S/4HANA Finance (eg, cost centres, payroll posting, bank transfers).
  • Deliver country-specific statutory and compliance integrations (eg, UK RTI, Poland PPK, Czech E-Sick Leave, Hungary NAV, Romania D112, Mexico IDSE/FONACOT).
  • Prepare functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and test scripts.
  • Conduct Payroll Unit Testing (PUT), System Integration Testing (SIT), Parallel Payroll Testing (PPT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Support data migration activities (historic payroll data, tax, benefits, pensions, loans, etc.).
  • Provide payroll expertise during cutover planning, go-live, and hypercare phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EC, Finance, Local IT, Compliance).
  • Ensure all deliverables align with SAP best practices, client standards, and project governance.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years\' experience in SAP Payroll, with at least 4+ years in SAP ECP (cloud-based).
  • Strong knowledge of Employee Central Payroll configuration (schemas, rules, wage types, pay components, roles/permissions).
  • Hands-on experience with EC-ECP Point-to-Point replication and integration to S/4HANA Finance.
  • Proven delivery of multi-country payroll implementations, including statutory compliance and localisations.
  • Expertise in parallel payroll testing, error resolution, and payroll reconciliation.
  • Experience with interface design and output files for government/third-party systems.
  • Familiarity with standard SAP reporting and data migration tools.
  • Strong communication skills to work with client stakeholders and offshore teams.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines with high attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
  • Exposure to Payroll Control Center (PCC) (even though not in current scope).
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance postings and bank integrations.
  • Experience working with outsourcing vendors/shared service centres.
  • SAP Certification in Employee Central Payroll.
