Browick Road Primary and Nursery School is a happy, lively and thriving school where children develop and learn confidently in a stable and nurturing environment. Our Nursery caters for 3- and 4-year-olds and is overseen by our experienced EYFS Leader.
Are you a positive, creative and committed Early Years Practitioner looking to join our professional, hardworking, friendly and supportive team? Could you lead our Nursery sessions on a day-to-day basis with enthusiasm and confidence? Nursery sessions are 8.45‑11.45am and 12.15‑3.15pm. Morning or full day sessions are offered (i.e. no children attend just for the afternoon). Hours of work, 8am‑4pm (Monday‑Thursday) and 8am‑3.30pm (Friday).
You must hold one of the following:
- Full and relevant Level 3 early years qualification (must appear on the DfE Early Years Qualifications List)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
- Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)
As a successful applicant you will be/have:
- A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Confident in using a range of behaviour management strategies
- Child‑centred and committed to the ethos of our school
- A practitioner who enjoys inspiring all children to learn through a creative curriculum and who considers the needs of all children
- Calm, positive and patient, able to use your initiative and "think on your feet"
- Able to see children as individuals with learning needs, seeing the opportunities, not the hurdles
- Keen to be part of a team, prepared to constantly review your practice and strive for excellence
- A keen sense of humour and good interpersonal, IT and organisational skills
- Committed to the school’s strong safeguarding culture
- A love of dogs (Ted, our school dog, is an important member of the team)
