We are a small family looking for reliable and proactive help in running our household. We live in a rural location with one young child at school, have animals including cats, hens and horses.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Housekeeper & Home Help to support us with day-to-day household tasks, cleaning, laundry and general organisation. The ideal candidate will be practical, trustworthy, and comfortable working around animals.
Key Responsibilities
- General household cleaning (dusting, hoovering, mopping, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.)
- Laundry and ironing
- Household organisation and tidying
- Basic occasional food prep and light errands
- Nanny duties including school drop offs and pick ups
- Baby sitting
- Animal care, including:
- Feeding, cleaning chicken coup and checking 9 hens
- Feeding and caring for 2 cats
- Optional assistance with basic horse care if comfortable around horses
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or similar experience preferred
- Comfortable working around animals
- Reliable, organised, and able to use initiative
- Non-smoker
- Must have own transport and car (rural location / not accessible by public transport), some errands include going to dry cleaners, picking up laundry.
- DBS checked or willing to process an application
Hours & Pay
- 16 hours per week spread across 3x days Monday / Wednesday / Friday.
- Competitive pay, depending on experience
- Salary displayed is full time 40 hours
