Prospero Teaching is looking for energetic, reliable, and motivated mentors in the BCP area to support young people needing alternate provision. We provide mentoring to students from early years up to post‑16, supporting them from 2 to 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 mentoring in the young person’s home or local community, tailored to their needs.
- Offer emotional support and activities based on their hobbies, or conduct walks to encourage confidence and a positive outlook.
- Deliver play therapy and art therapy where required.
- Help students transition back into mainstream or specialist environments.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience working with young people (teacher, teaching assistant, tutor, counsellor, sports coach, support worker, etc.).
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service (assistance provided if needed).
