Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to join their team, helping to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across their school site. This is a varied role in a dynamic day and residential school environment, requiring flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow instructions from the Supervisor to deliver high-quality cleaning services
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in line with school policies
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is well maintained and stored securely after use
- Complete tasks in line with cleaning schedules and routines
- Keep cleaning cupboards and storage areas clean, organised, and secure (locked where required)
- Support colleagues by covering duties during absence or holidays, including in other departments if needed
- Attend required training sessions and team meetings
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or defects to your line manager promptly
- Comply with uniform standards and maintain a professional appearance at all times
- In the event of any incidents involving pupils, report immediately to a teacher or staff member
- Carry out any additional reasonable duties as requested by the General Services Manager or Head Teacher
