We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Residential Conveyancer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise within a reputable firm committed to professional growth and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational ability, and proficient IT knowledge to handle multiple cases effectively. We are ideally looking for someone with 2-6 year PQE to run cases start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Providing clear and professional communication with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other relevant parties.
- Preparing and reviewing legal documentation such as contracts, transfer deeds, and SDLT forms.
- Conducting property searches and liaising with external providers to obtain necessary reports.
- Ensuring all transactions comply with current legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Managing deadlines efficiently to ensure timely completion of transactions.
- Maintaining accurate case files and updating case management systems regularly.
- Advising clients on legal procedures related to property transactions and answering any queries they may have.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Residential Conveyancer/Solicitor.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Proficient IT skills, including experience with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
