Temp to perm opportunity with favourable day shifts, Monday to Friday. We are seeking Multi-skilled Production Operatives for a busy metal processing plant in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading recycling business with a presence in four continents, keen to make a long-term investment into new staff members looking to secure a career in the metallics industry.
Main responsibilities for our Metal Recycling Operative role include:
- Operating machinery (such as plasma cutters and bandsaws) to break down automotive components
- Strip parts down with use of hand tools
- Sorting parts into separate categories by hand
- Use of Forklift truck to move the granulated products around the shop floor
- Working in a sampler station to help identify the concentration of precious metals in each component (e.g. platinum/radium)
Although you will likely be assigned a core area, the company's vision is to offer cross-training in multiple areas to maximise your knowledge. Workwear will be provided; you will be required to wear a full protective mask & visor to help provide proper ventilation.

- Comfortable with working in an environment that can be dusty
- Able to use basic machinery and hand tools
- Requirement of an in-date Counterbalance license
Hours of work: Monday to Friday
Rate of pay: £13.75, increasing to £14.50 after 12 weeks of service
