Location: Nationwide (Head Office - Wiltshire)

Reports to: Project and Installation Manager

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (onsite work and travel required)

About the Client

The Role

The client is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Installation Engineer to join our client's growing installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering professional AV installations nationwide, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys to assess requirements and advise on hardware, software, and resource needs
  • Carry out first-fix cable installations for audio systems
  • Install and commission AV systems at customer locations across the UK
  • Supervise supporting site resources to maintain consistent quality and standards
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures
  • Perform detailed quality control checks to ensure installations meet scope and functionality requirements
  • Liaise with subcontractors and provide clear project briefs when required
  • Make informed decisions on-site regarding risk assessments, changes in scope, or additional requirements
  • Attend service calls under client service-level agreements
  • Provide advanced programming support for audio, lighting, and other AV systems

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience installing audio-visual hardware
  • Confident working in a client-facing environment
  • Strong understanding of LCD, LED, video conferencing, video over IP, and video matrix distribution systems
  • Knowledge of digital signage content management systems (preferred)
  • Competent in IT networking and AV system fault-finding
  • Hands-on experience installing and commissioning Audio and Control Systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • CSCS / ECS card holder
  • IPAF and PASMA accredited
  • Experience with installing and commissioning Q-SYS, BI-AMP, or Crestron systems
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • First Aid qualification
