We are hiring Relief Support Workers for our Sunderland team. The role supports individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs related to communication. The aim is to help clients recognise their strengths and resources, empowering them to live independent and fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Enable service users to become independent and build confidence, competence, and personal effectiveness.
- Support development of social skills and relationships, personal care and hygiene, daily living, and community participation.
- Assist users in maintaining the safety, security and comfort of their homes.
- Help users claim full benefit entitlements, manage budgeting and personal finances.
- Support the administration and monitoring of prescribed medication.
- Facilitate users in enjoying a fulfilling, valued life and fully developing their abilities.
Candidate Requirements
- At least twelve months of previous experience within a care role.
- New starters must attend mandatory induction courses before commencing work.
- Access the Creative Support free app to pick up shifts across any country location.
- Availability for relief shifts that fit personal commitments, study or caring responsibilities.
Employment Details
- Payment is provided on a weekly basis.
- This relief position is flexible, allowing you to pick up shifts at times that suit you.
