About the Company
MotionTech is a project-based engineering and manufacturing business based at Charles Park Industrial Estate in Bulwell, Nottingham. Stock comes in, projects go out, and the stores team sits right at the heart of it all.
The Role
As a Stores Picker and Kitting Operative, you'll be picking and preparing components that go directly into manufacturing and assembly. You'll report into the Stores and Picking Manager and work closely with production, purchasing, and logistics to keep things moving. Your accuracy and attention to detail will have a direct impact on output quality and on-time delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Pick stock against works orders, kitting lists, and customer orders accurately
- Prepare and kit components ready for manufacturing and assembly
- Pack and dispatch goods to internal departments and customers
- Use computer systems to locate stock, update records, and confirm picks
- Carry out stock checks and report any discrepancies
- Label, handle, and store items correctly at all times
- Keep your working area clean, organised, and safe
- Work with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to hit deadlines
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good written and verbal English - you'll be reading orders and communicating with the team
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and using stock or scanning systems
- Reliable timekeeping - this team depends on everyone showing up and showing up on time
Useful, not essential
- Experience in a stores, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings or identify technical components
- Any background in engineering, trades, or a technical apprenticeship
