We are seeking passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistants who are ready to step in and support our partner private nursery in the centre of Stafford. Following the recent establishment of a new partnership with a local nursery, we are now seeking dedicated Nursery Assistants to support the nursery in providing consistent, high-quality care for each and every child. This is a flexible role for Early Years and Nursery Practitioners seeking more temporary working arrangements working for a reputable supply agency, working around your lifestyle and commitments. The role is open to part-time and full-time hours dependent on your wishes.
The responsibilities of a Nursery Assistant:
- Working alongside teachers and Nursery Assistants to deliver fun EYFS activities and lessons which support both the academic and personal growth of all children.
- Consistently providing exceptional standards of care to all children, ensuring that a safe and nurturing environment is maintained for each and every child.
- Support children's early literacy, numeracy, communication and personal development on a daily basis.
- Encourage growth and independence by supporting children in daily tasks which promote independence and positive behaviour.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
- A strong level of literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or Grade C and above/Functional Skills Level 2 in the minimum required).
- Previous experience working with young children whether this is in a nursery or primary school setting. This experience will stand you in good stead to jump straight into a busy nursery environment.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Paediatric First Aid (or be willing to work towards).
