A specialist SEN Primary school is seeking a compassionate and reliable Children's Support Worker to support pupils with SEN including complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient and passionate about supporting vulnerable children.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with severe and complex SEND, including autism and additional needs
- Providing personal care (toileting, hygiene, changing) with dignity and sensitivity
- Supporting emotional regulation, engagement, and daily routines
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
- Ensuring safeguarding and pupil wellbeing are always prioritised
Requirements
- Experience working with SEND, care, or vulnerable individuals (schools, care, or community settings)
- Confidence and willingness to carry out personal care
- Calm, empathetic, and dependable approach
- Strong understanding of safeguarding
